As you know, congressional, state, and county political districts are being revised this summer in accordance with the 2010 Census data.  There will be two opportunities in the coming week to have input on these districts.

Letter to the State Reapportionment Committee about Forsyth County's District Split

Reapportionment LetterAt present, approximately three quarters of Forsyth County is in the 9th Congressional District, and one-quarter of the County is in the 7th Congressional District.  This letter encourages the reapportionment committee to consider placing all voting precincts within Forsyth County in a single Congressional District, which will help us to accommodate the growth and infrastructure needs of the county.  Click on the graphic to the right to read the letter.

National Day of Prayer

There will be multiple opportunities to commemorate the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 5th.  
 
First Baptist Church of Cumming (1597 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, GA 30040) is hosting a Prayer Luncheon from 12pm-1pm.  Childcare will be provided for those wishing to attend.  To attend, please make reservations by calling (770) 887-2428.

Dear Republicans,

We are working with Congressman Tom Graves's Office to provide disaster relief to victims of last week's tornadoes in North Georgia.  At our next meeting, the Forsyth GOP will be collecting items for our fellow Georgians that have suffered loss in these storms.
