The National Day of Prayer - May 6th

Thursday, May 6th, has been designated the National Day of Prayer.  This year is unique, however, in that it is the first National Day of Prayer after which a federal judge ruled the federal government cannot establish a national day of prayer.  Despite calls for national prayer by American heroes such as Washington and Lincoln, liberal appointees have chipped away at America's foundations to the point that even a request for prayer by elected officials has been construed to violate the Constitution.

In response to this, we ask that you pray for our country and its leaders.  Pray that our countrymen will seek guidance from God, wisdom to discern His will, and courage to take what actions He lays upon them.  Please pray that He forgives our sins, and that America will be a beacon of justice for all mankind.

We hope this National Day of Prayer, for which we have been told there is no valid state interest, will convict you of your duties to be a good citizen, and to not sit on the sidelines of public affairs.
